CSD Brass has been a member of the Cambridge-Heidelberg Partnership Association since 1996.

12 members of the Orchesterverein Heidelberg-Handschuhsheim visited Cambridge during the Easter Festival 2000 and the two bands performed a joint concert at St Stephen's Church, Cambridge on Tuesday 25th April.
	One of the highlights of the evening was the 'The Veterans' - performed as a double-trio featuring the cornets from both bands - Katharine Hutchinson, Jurgen Bechtel, Alf Ball, Uwe Hafner, Wilhelm Hafner, and Kate Barradell-Smith.
The band was delighted to be invited to Heidelberg for Easter 2001, and a party of 15 musicians and their partners made the trip. A joint concert was performed on Easter Sunday, 15th April. This featured a 10- piece ensemble from CSD Brass, and over 30 players from the Orchesterverein. A number of massed band items were also performed.
	Members of the Orchesterverein visited Cambridge in 2002. A joint concert was performed on XXX at XXX.
Many of the CSD members who had been involved in the 2001 exchange also took part in the Easter Festival 2003, in Heidelberg. We greatly enjoyed perfoming at the Tiefburg in Handschscheim.
	In 2004, 10 members of the Orchesterverein travelled to Cambridge. It was a pleasure to welcome conductor Georg Schmitt-Thomee to Cambridge. This was his first visit to the city during the Easter Festival. This photograph was taken at the joint concert held in The Salvation Army Hall, Cambridge. A highlight of this concert was a rendition of the cornet trio 12th Street Rag - this was played as a double-trio, with three soloists from each of the two bands.
This photo shows members of the two bands practising together for a concert held in Heidelberg in 2005. We were delighted to be asked to perform at a ceremony to celebrate the twinning of the two cities.
	A small group of instrumentalists were involved in the 2006 exchange. CSD Brass performed at the official reception in the Guildhall, and a joint concert was held at St Augustine's Church.
In 2007, CSD visited Heidelberg for a week-long exchange. We were delighted to be asked to accompany the dancing at the Friendship Group's farewell dinner.
	2008 saw the festival return to Cambridge and CSD Brass hosted 8 guests from Heidelberg. We performed several joint items at the opening reception at the Guildhall. We greatly enjoyed the weekend's festivities, despite the snow on Easter Sunday leading us to rapidly revise our plans!
